Dear Homeschool Parents,
Welcome to our new and returning families for the 2023-24 school year! It’s hard to believe that BHSE has celebrated its 29th year since its formation! The board, staff, and tutors are excited about the upcoming school year and are honored to serve alongside you in this journey of homeschooling your children.
We hope you’ll take some time to look through the handbook and read about the day-to-day BHSE experience. We work diligently to offer a full day of classes that will encourage growth and learning for your child(ren) from the youngest Kindergarten students to our graduating seniors.
Besides the educational classes, we are pleased to offer other growth opportunities for your child(ren) through morning chapel, Student Activities Council, science fair, spelling bee, fundraising, service projects, and so much more. Through these and many other activities, we hope to be a conduit for our students and families to build lasting friendships and create a thriving community.
Because we are a partnership, we require each family to volunteer during the school year in some way. There are small tasks, as well as larger ones, that we need your help to accomplish! In coming together as a team, we are all a part of the long-term success of your children.
God has called us all to this task! He is faithful to accomplish His purpose and is willing to do it through us, as imperfect as we all are! Let’s join together and pray for a year where we will honor God and bring glory to His name through all that we say and do.
Sincerely,
Kelly Hornbeak
