BHSE was orginally formed in 1993 by a few moms who wanted group activities for their home schooled children. This small group had classes such as art and p.e and met at the Bellevue Community Center. At that point in time, BHSE was a part of the Bellevue Home School Association. It started as a Christian program, and for a short while became a secular program, but since 1998 it is clearly a Christian organization based and run by biblical principles.
We are a thriving program with approximately 150 students and about 30 tutors and aides. We are governed by a board of directors and we are a 501c3 organization.
